II. Stan Morner Presenting carrying on, Poems and Art

Stan Morner will read from his first book of poetry in 16 years. Stan will be helped in this presentation by his sister, Kristin Kennedy, and two of his friends, Meriel Ennik and Tom Scovel. Although there are elements of chronology, theme, image, and style, carrying on, the book, is intended as a wide ranging exploration, a tentative grasp or gasp, in the direction of wholeness. The book must be incomplete until an individual reader fills some of its suggestions in a spirit of individual freedom. Stan also created the art in the book, with one exception. The spirit of this reading will be one of story-telling rather than a mere recital of poems.

Stan Morner is a Vice President of the Ina Coolbrith Circle. He is the author of two chapbooks, Heartball and Pairings
