Our next "virtual" meeting on November 20th at 2pm will feature

reading from her recently published book After the Opera. Born in New York City, Mary Eichbauer graduated in the first class of women at Caltech, where she majored in Literature. She later earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at UCLA and taught Humanities, English, and Women’s Studies. With her husband, Greg, she spends a portion of each year in France eating, listening to music, and looking at art.

Following our featured presentation, poets are invited to read their winning poems from the 101st annual contest. We will proceed in the same order as on Nov 6, 5th Honorable Mention through 1st Prize, with the categories in the following sequence: California, Journeys, Love, Humor, Nature, People, Theme: Awakenings, and Poet’s Choice. In the interest of time we will leave the Grand Prize poem for last, although it also took second place in the Journeys category. If a winning poet is unable to attend, we will move on to the next poet who is present.
